A Conservative’s Guide to the Thoughtfulness of an Average Democrat

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Now, we completely acknowledge that there are some Democrats who are above average; and should add that we are personally aware of more than a handful of Republicrats that think they will continue to get away with fooling Conservatives into believing they are represented in Washington D.C. — much the same way that most minority and low-income voters are continually courted into believing the Democrat Party is A Good Thing (and that their adversary, the Republican Party, hates anyone without a Platinum card).

“The poor have been voting democrat for 50 years and they’re still poor.” -Charles Barkley

I wonder what happened to the people in Congress who used to believe our actual enemy was tyranny, famine, pestilence, and foreign invaders? Must no longer be ‘cool’ to think that any more.

I have had dozens of conversations in the last year in which my Left-leaning friends are SHOCKED to learn that we Conservatives don’t want orphans to starve, immigrants to drown on their way here, and oil barons to rule the world with an iron money clip.

And those conversations make me angry — not just because these caricatures are baseless; but because I have a higher expectation of my fellow man than to believe the average American can consider divisive people like Katie Couric and Keith Olberman to be moral arbitors.

Can the country really be so weak-minded? I keep hearing Republicans call Glenn Beck a liar (apparently he is too much Conservative and too little — if at all — Republican); yet from the dozens of his shows I have caught, I have never once heard him say anything that I could not independently verify.

So everyone seems to prefer to sell lies for votes, and mistrust for allegiance. Impressive.

I will say to both political parties the same thing that I said to the Dems when John Kerry was running against Bush: ‘Is this truly the best you (we) can do?’ And to the Republicans, now: McCain? Really?

Finally, here is one writer’s take on the dichotomy of the Liberal mind (h/t to IOWAHAWK for sharing), and the reason I am thinking today about cranial misfires:

Why I Am A Democrat

I sometimes hear the question, “Why are you a Democrat?” and frankly, I have to laugh. Laugh and laugh, because perhaps this person may tire of my laughing, and he will eventually wander off. Sometimes I ponder seriously when I hear this question, because I’ll look around and around and there’s nobody there asking the question. Why am I a Democrat?

I am a Democrat because I believe everyone deserves a chance. And if necessary, a second chance. And if, by the eighth or ninth chance, this guy needs another chance, I mean, come on. This guy is due.

I am a Democrat because I believe in helping those in need. All of us, you and I, have an obligation to those less fortunate. You go first, okay? I’m a little short this week.

I am a Democrat because I believe in the equality of all people, regardless of their race. That is why I think we should give free medical degrees to minorities because, well, duh. Like any of those types are going to make it through medical school.

I am a Democrat because I fervently believe in tolerance. Tolerance is critical in our diverse society, and if you have a problem with that, mister, then I will inform the authorities and I bet that after a few hours in their “special room” you too will agree that tolerance is critical.

I am a Democrat because I believe that we should take our noses out of other people’s bedrooms. I say we move the noses to their banks and storage sheds and scout troops, and so forth.

I am a Democrat because I hold sacred freedom of the press, as well as freedom of the TV and freedom of the movie. Where I draw the line is freedom of the talk radio, and don’t even get me started about that damn Internet business.

I am a Democrat because I recognize that education is important. Very, very, extremely very important. We must increase spending on education and enact important education reforms, such as eliminating standardized tests. Because we can never hope to measure this beautiful, elusive, important thing we call education.

I am a Democrat because I believe in the separation of church and state. We must stop the religious extremists who want school-sanctioned prayers. Now, you tell me – with all that chanting and praying and incense-burning going on, how can our kids concentrate on the big condom-and-banana midterm?

I am a Democrat because I believe in the rights of women, be they lawyers or housewives or skanky interns. For too long women have been the victims of discrimination, and we must target programs to help these women, and also the various people who have descended from women.

I am a Democrat because I believe in women’s right to choose. I mean, not a church school or a tax shelter, or something like that, obviously. Let’s be reasonable.

I am a Democrat because I believe in the rule of law. Or, at least, lawyers. Because hey, according to my attorney, I could have been on the Number 7 bus when it crashed yesterday. As far as you know.

I am a Democrat because I believe a healthy economy depends on good jobs at good wages. So fork ‘em over, you fat b@stard boss man.

I am a Democrat because I believe the government should step in to create good jobs when that fat b@stard boss man moves my good job to Mexico. Hey, I know! Maybe we can take all the money that boss man spends on non-job-creating stuff, like solid gold yachts and mink spats, and use that money to create jobs.

I am a Democrat because I fear the power of giant unrestrained monopolies, such as Microsoft, Nike, Parker Brothers, Univac and the Erie Canal Company. The government must wage an unrelenting, all-out war to crush these scary monopolies to a pulp before they get too powerful.

I am a Democrat because I believe in a strong military. Strong, yes, but caring and thoughtful too, and ready to face new challenges. A military that enjoys long strolls on the beach, cuddling in front of a warm fire, unafraid to show its vulnerable side. Must be NS/DDF.

I am a Democrat because I believe there is too much violence in society, especially in our schools. To avoid another Columbine tragedy, we should have mellow “rap” sessions with at-risk teens, such as the Goths. The violence will only end after the teen Goths see that we adults really care, and are “hip” to their groovy teen Goth scene.

I am a Democrat because I believe in campaign finance reform. Sadly, our politics are dominated by advertisements, paid for by the contributions of giant corporations. All too often, these drown out legitimate grassroots opinions, like the kind heard on TimeWarner-AOL-CNN, TimesCorp, or Disney-ABC.

I am a Democrat because I believe in public support of the arts. By “the arts,” I of course mean those things made by, or excreted by, an artist of some sort. It is especially important that art be provocative and take controversial stances, like opposing Jesse Helms, and so on.

I am a Democrat because I believe in the environment and conservation. For instance, we must raise the price of gasoline, like they do in Europe, to increase conservation. If we don’t, there will soon be a big gas shortage, and this will mean higher gasoline prices for you and me.

I am a Democrat because I detest greed. Especially the sickening greed of those who struck it rich in the 1980s, and greedily refuse to give me any of their stuff.

I am a Democrat because I… hey look! A new episode of Survivor! Geez, I hope they don’t vote off Jenna, she’s my favorite.

This year, please do some homework before you vote. If you are one of the many who are disparaging Fox News — because you think they are being unfair — perhaps you yourself can let up on the countless hours of inhaling the fumes at Huffington Post?

The following was written in response to a responsible, well-worded apology from the President of the NAACP for certain choices and previous statements regarding the recently-outed video of Shirley Sherrod. If this letter is truly representative of the ideals of the NAACP’s membership (rather than the behavior on the video), then we hope to see this light shine more often in the future. Unfortunately, the surprise that many are expressing over it indicates that they have kept this light under a bushel basket for far too long…

—–
While having a race-based association mete out moral judgments might sound like a good idea to some, it never has been — and the fact that they can come out with this ‘apology’ and try to sound authoritative and humane makes no difference to the reality that the NAAWP was not around to comment on everything that self-serving jerks like Sharpton and Jackson show up to soil with ‘their good names’ (they are not about any issue; these men are only about Sharpton and Jackson).

The Black Panther folks, as one example, are to the Black culture what the terrorists are to Islam — they remove doubt in those who wonder whether to fear another race or culture. The NAACP itself has done nothing but make this worse for the people it supposes to serve, by not loudly correcting, in public, the notion that all Black people stand together to support prejudice against those who don’t look the part.

Maybe I’m just not paying close enough attention, but I have never heard the leadership of an American mosque come to CNN and repeatedly share not only that the actions and the hate of the terrorists are not representative of their faith — but explain to non-Muslims what Islam is really about and why they believe so strongly what they practice. All we hear are the terrorists. All that reaches the microphones and cameras are those separatists preaching blame, hate and death.

All we hear from the ‘Black Community’ is Sharpton, Malik Shabazz, et al.

Imagine if everyone in a house was murdered, and the Capulets had a Montague arrested. It was proven, by evidence and witness accounts, that it would have been impossible for that Montague to have committed the crime — and in fact, it was a Capulet who had in a rage, killed his own kin. But instead of exonerating the man and clearing his name in as much a public manner as his was soiled, the arrested, his accusers, and the Leader of the Land all got together for a beer summit to discuss and agree that ‘this kind of family-on-family murder happens all the time’. Where is the NAACP now? Where is the Advancement? Where is the leadership they profess?

If the NAACP came out with letters like this one every time a public individual acted as selfishly, egotistically, and hatefully as Shirley Sherrod, America might start to think that we are to be judged only by the content of our character.

But just as it takes longer to ‘unring a bell’ than to ring it, those angerly shaking their fist in the air must be left to whine on their own, unsupported, for the damage to begin to unravel. You can’t buy progress with a single letter any more than you can purchase justice with three beers.

If George W. Bush were an elitist snob…

Friday, May 14th, 2010

My Lefty friends maintain that our last President thinks he’s better than us — explaining (what they believe was) his primary failing. Our current President likes to stir up hatred for ‘Elitists’ that are the supposed ‘Enemy from the Right’ and heroes of Capitalism. Perhaps from opposite sides of the aisle, either man could be considered an Elitist. But regardless of your like/dislike of George W. Bush (he had his shortcomings), I have to wonder:

From the mailbag:

If George W. Bush had been the first President to religiously use a teleprompter, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to every national leader sporting a ribbon, crown, or turban (besides the Burger King), would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word “advice” would you have hammered him for it for years, like Dan Quayle and potatoe, as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 or more Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had spent more than all the Presidents combined since George Washington, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He did all of this in his first 10 months — so you’ll have several more years to come up with an answer.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

I grew up believing in Spock. Not the Doctor Spock who literally wrote the controversial book (several, actually) on child rearing, but the character from the classic Star Trek television series, who, despite his fallibility as a living being, could always fall back on logic whenever the universe turned to tribble poo. I believed that things would, could, and should make sense.

As an adult, I have come to understand that this belief in and love of logic is not common. Instead, belief systems or ideals of hate and closed-mindedness rule the earth.

I’m gonna bet that this post will prompt several to come out of the woodwork to ‘explain’ to us that civil rights, education, and equality are all Lefty ideas that have only progressed under, and because of, their watch… but then, that would only prove the point.

What follows (quoted below) is a bit of a joke, pitting the Right and the Left against each others as an estranged married couple, hoping to resolve their differences by parting ways permanently.

Unfortunately, this thing that is presently a country of diverse views is an all-or-nothing proposition; we stand or fail — together. When a Conservative talk show host commented that he hoped Barack Obama’s plan to unhinge the country would fail, he was lambasted by the Media as saying that he hoped the country would fail. For many Americans, this Lefty media lie was accepted as fact; for others, it’s obvious that someone who is destroying American strengths and growing new national weaknesses cannot truthfully be equated to America herself — Barack Obama is not America; he is only an American. Indeed, if he meets his stated objectives and follows the ideals that he and his history of friends have espoused, America will surely be lesser for it — and if he fails, America just might survive.

There are some people living here who grasp what things are unique to American culture — and alternately, which are the reasons people from all over the world strive to come here. An opposing school of thought, driven by charismatic words extolling the virtues of lifestyles and ideals that have driven those societies who do not have what America does — well, they cannot see what they already have in America, because they are being deluded by slick talkers to work toward the same mentality that has driven every great civilization before us into the footnotes of history.

From the mailbag:

SUBJECT: Divorce Proposal
TO: American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950′s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them). We also won’t quibble over your having Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, & Jane Fonda.

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, WalMart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. But we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I’ll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,
John J. Wall

April 4th, 2063 — will you still be around to see it?

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

According to Star Trek lore, that is the date of First Contact — the first time life from other systems met with humanity in a sharing of faith that life forms shouldn’t assume to exist in enmity with one another.

Are we living in such a way that alien life forms would even want to spend their vacation time here, among humanity?

Or would they take a peek at the state of affairs on this planet and decide to erect road-hazard cones around us in space?

You are correct; most American Conservative voters HAVE NO PLAN.

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

“I have no plan to order the lives of the 40 million uninsured. I have no plans for how you should run your life, what insurance you should have, or where you should spend you money; and frankly I find it a little creepy that you have a plan for ordering my private life. And let’s face it, you don’t plan to insure 40 million Americans, you plan to force the other 250 million Americans to do it.”

This, and further clarity on the subject, opined by Cory Genelin over at AmericanThinker.com.

But then, you would have to have the Audacity to Hope that the Lefty Lemming you’re conversing with has the ability to discuss and consider — rather than prejudging your ideas based on whatever Obama, Chris Matthews, and Saul Alinsky have taught them about you and your inability to cogitate.

It was like a million voices crying out in unison, then suddenly silenced. (Obi-Wan, Star Wars)

Interview with Yuri Bezmenov, former KGB Officer explains how those used to Subvert, Destabilize, and Manufacture Crisis in ‘Amerika’ will be disposed of when their usefulness has passed

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

(TRANSCRIPT BELOW)

Yuri Bezmenov

(What kind of ‘useful idiots’ could Yuri be referring to? Many are outing themselves readily; others may have been elected by our very own votes…)

OpenYourEyes
KGB Officer Explains Russian/NWO Agenda For “Amerika”

Transcript of interview [video]:

ED GRIFFIN:

(introduces Mr. Bezmenov)

Our conversation is with Yuri Alexandrovic Bezmenov. Mr. Bezmenov was born in 1939 in a suburb of Moscow. He was the son of a high ranking Soviet Army officer. He was educated in the elite schools inside the Soviet Union; and became an expert in Indian culture and Indian languages.

He had an outstanding career with Novosti, which was, and still is, I should say, the press arm or press agency of the Soviet Union; it turns out this is also a front, for the KGB.

He escaped to the West in 1970 after becoming totally disgusted with the Soviet system; and he did this at great risk to his life. He certainly is one of the worlds outstanding experts on the subject of Soviet propaganda; and disinformation and active measures.

ED GRIFFIN:

Well, you spoke before about “ideological subversion” and that’s a phrase that I’m afraid some Americans don’t understand. When the Soviets use the phrase “ideological subversion” what do they mean by it?

YURI BEZMENOV:

1. Ideological subversion is the process which is [a] legitimate, old word, and open. You can see it with your own eyes. All American mass media has to do is to “unplug bananas” from their ears, open up their eyes, and they can see it. There is no mystery.

It has nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage intelligence gathering looks more romantic. It sells more deodorants through the advertising.

That’s probably why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond types of films. But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is NOT in the area of intelligence at all.

According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such.

The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It’s a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being “demoralization”. It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation.

Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy.

In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

Most of the activity of the department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information, on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion.

Publishers, editors, journalists, uh actors, educationalists, professors of political science. Members of parliament, representatives of business circles.

Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups: those who would tow the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to positions of power through media and public manipulation; [and] those who refuse the Soviet influence in their own country would be character assassinated OR executed physically, come Revolution.

Same way as in a small town of Hua in South Vietnam; several thousands of Vietnamese were executed in one night when the city was captured by [the] Viet Cong for only two days; and American CIA could never figure out – how could [the communists] possibly know each Individual, where he lives, where to get him; and [in order that they] would be arrested in one night basically in four hours before dawn, put on a van, driven out of the city limits and shot.

The answer is very simple. Long before communists occupy the city, there was extensive network of informers; local Vietnamese citizens who knew absolutely everything about people who are instrumental in public opinion – including Barbers and Taxi Drivers.

Everyone who was sympathetic to United States was executed. Same thing was done under the guidance of the Soviet Embassy in Hanoi, and same thing I was doing in New Delhi.

To my horror, I discovered that in the files were people who were doomed to execution. There were names of pro-Soviet Journalists, with whom I was personally friendly.

ED GRIFFIN:

Pro Soviet?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Yes, absolutely. They were idealistically minded leftist communists who had made several visits to the USSR; and yet the KGB decided, that come Revolution, or drastic changes in political structure of India – they will have to go. ED GRIFFIN: Why is that?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Because they know too much. Simply, because, you see the USEFUL IDIOTS; the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of Soviet or Communist or Socialist or whatever system; when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies.

That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point, “never bother with leftists, forget about these political prostitutes – aim higher” this was my instruction.

Try to get into, uh, large circulation, established conservative media. Reach filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals in so-called academic circles. Cynical, ego-centric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. This are the most recruitable people; people who lack moral principals – who are either too greedy or too, uh, suffer from self-importance, uh, they feel that they matter a lot. Uh, these are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit.

ED GRIFFIN:

But to eliminate the others; to execute the others, don’t they serve some purpose – wouldn’t they be the one’s to rely on?

YURI BEZMENOV:

No they serve purpose only [up] to the stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in [the] United States; all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders.

They are instrumental in the process of the subversion; only to destabilize a nation.

When the job is completed, they are not needed anymore. They know too much.

Some of them, when they get disillusioned – when they see that Marxist-Leninist come to power. Obviously they get offended; they think that THEY will come to power.

That will never happen, of course; they will be lined up against the wall and shot.

But they may turn into the most bitter enemies of Marxist-Leninists when they come to power; and that’s what happened in Nicaragua.

You remember most of these former Marxist-Leninists were either put to prison or one of them split and now he’s working against the Sandinistas

It happened in Grenada when Maurice Bishop, he was already a Marxist – he was executed by the new Marxists who was more Marxist than this Marxist.

Same happened in Afghanistan, when, uh, first there was Taraki he was killed by Amin, then Amin was killed by Karmal with the help of KGB.

Same happened in Bangladesh where Mujibur Rahman, very pro-soviet leftist; was assassinated by his own Marxist-Leninist military comrades.

It’s the same pattern everywhere. The moment they serve their purpose, all the useful idiots are either executed entirely; all the idealistically minded Marxists.

Or exiled, or put in prisons like in Cuba many former Marxists are in Cuba, and in prison.

So basically America is stuck, with demoralization; and unless, even if you start right now this minute; you start educating new generation of Americans – it will still take you 15 to 20 years to turn the tide of uh, ideological perception of reality; uh back to normalcy and patriotism.

The result? The result you can see — most of the people who graduated in the 60′s, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them.

You can’t get rid of to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern [alluding to Pavlov]. You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information.

Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.

In other words [for] these people the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people you need another 15 or 20 years to educate a new generation of patriotically minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of United States society.

ED GRIFFIN:

And yet these people who have been programmed and as you say [are] in place and who are favorable to an opening with the Soviet concept [meaning NEW WORLD ORDER]- these are the very people who would be marked for extermination in this country?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Most of them, yes. Simply because the psychological shock when they will see in [the] future what the beautiful society of EQUALITY and social justice means in practice, obviously they will revolt.

They will be very unhappy [and] frustrated people, and Marxist Leninist regime does not tolerate these people. Obviously they will join the [ranks] of dissenters; dissidents.

Unlike the present [1984] United States there will be no place for dissent in future Marxist-Leninist America.

[Now] you can get popular like Daniel Ellsberg and filthy rich like Jane Fonda for being a dissident [and] for criticizing your Pentagon.

In [the] future these people will simply be [he makes a squishy noise] squashed like cockroaches for criticizing the government.

Nobody is going to pay them nothing for their beautiful [and] noble ideas of EQUALITY. This they don’t understand and it will be the greatest shock for them, of course.

The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years.

Actually, it’s over fulfilled because demoralization now reaches such areas where not even Comrade Andropov and all his experts would even dream of such tremendous success.

Most of it is done by Americans to Americans thanks to lack of moral standards. As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore.

A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures.

Even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him the concentration camps…he will refuse to believe it…. until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom.

When the military boot crashes – then he will understand. But not before that. That’s the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.

2. The next stage is destabilization….

this time, subverter does not care about your ideas and the patterns of your consumption. Whether you eat junk food and get fat and flabby doesn’t matter any more.

It only takes 2 to 5 years to destabilize a nation. This time what matters is essentials; economy, foreign relations, [and] defense systems.

And you can see it quite clearly that in some… sensitive areas such as defense and [the] economy, the influence of Marxist-Leninist ideas in the United States is absolutely fantastic.

I could never believe it 14 years ago when I landed in this part of the world that the process will go that fast.

3. The next stage of course is crisis, which may take only up to 6 weeks to bring a country to the verge of crisis. You can see it in Central America now; and after crisis, with the violent change of power structure and economy, you have the period of so called “normalization” [which] it may last indefinitely.

Normalization is a cynical expression, borrower from Soviet Propaganda. When the Soviet tanks moved into Czechoslovakia in 1968, comrade Brezhnev said “Now the situation in brotherly Czechoslovakia is normalized”. This is what will happen in [the] United States if you allow all the shmucks to bring the country to crisis.

To promise people all kinds of goodies, and the paradise on Earth. Uh to destabilize your economy to eliminate the principal of free market competition; and to put a big brother government in Washington D.C.; with benevolent dictators like [1984] Walter Mondale [2008 Obama] who will promise lots of things – Never mind whether the promises are fulfilled or not.

He [the dictator] will go to Moscow to kiss the bottoms of a new generation of Soviet Assassins. Never mind [nothing to see here, move along], he will create false illusions that the situation is under control.

Situation is NOT under control. Situation is disgustingly out of control.

Most of the American politicians, media, and educational system train another generation of people who think they are living at the peacetime. False.

United States is in a state of war; undeclared, total war against the basic principles and foundations of this system. And the initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov of course – it’s the system. However, ridiculous it may sound, [it is] the world Communist system, or the world Communist conspiracy. Whether I scare some people or not, I don’t give a hoot.

If you’re not scared by now, nothing can scare you. You don’t have to be paranoid about it. What actually happens now; that unlike myself, you have literally several years to live on unless United States wake up. The time bomb is ticking.

With every second the disaster is coming closer. Unlike myself, you will have nowhere to defect to, unless you want to live in Antarctica with penguins.

This is it, this is the last country with freedom and possibility.

ED GRIFFIN:

Okay, so what do we do? What is your recommendation to the American people?

YURI BEZMENOV:

Well, the immediate thing that comes to mind is, of course, there must be a very strong national effort to educate people in the spirit of REAL patriotism, number one. Number two, to explain [to] them the real danger of socialist, communist, welfare state, Big Brother government. If people fail to grasp the impending danger; nothing ever will help the United States. You may kiss goodbye your freedoms, including [sending] homosexuals to prison inmate. All this freedom will vanish in 5 seconds – including your precious lives.

The moment at least part of [the] United States population is convinced that the danger is real, they have to FORCE their government, and I’m not talking about sending letters, signing petitions, and all this beautiful, noble activity, I’m talking about FORCING [the] United States government to stop aiding Communism….

Dems unabashedly pulling out all the dirty tricks to fool Mass voters into dropping Scott Brown like a warm doobie

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

“This isn’t the Democratic party of our fathers and grandfathers. This is the party of Woodstock hippies. I was at Woodstock — I built the stage. And when everything fell apart, and people were fighting for peanut-butter sandwiches, it was the National Guard who came in and saved the same people who were protesting them. So when Hillary Clinton a few years ago wanted to build a Woodstock memorial, I said it should be a statue of a National Guardsman feeding a crying hippie.”

The only thing better than kittens

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Kim Jossfolk contributed this ‘net’-worthy gem:

A pretty little girl named Suzy was standing on the sidewalk in front of her home. Next to her was a basket containing a number tiny creatures; in her hand was a sign announcing FREE KITTENS.

Suddenly a line of big black cars pulled up beside her. Out of the lead car stepped a tall, grinning man.

“Hi there, little girl, I’m President Obama. What do you have in the basket?” he asked.

“Kittens.” little Suzy said.

How old are they? asked Obama.

Suzy replied, “They’re so young, their eyes aren’t even open yet.”

“And what kind of kittens are they?”

“Democrats,” answered Suzy with a smile.

Obama was delighted. As soon as he returned to his car, he called his PR chief and told him about the little girl and the kittens.

Recognizing the perfect photo op, the two men agreed that the president should return the next day, and, in front of the assembled media, have the girl talk about her discerning kittens.

So the next day, Suzy was again standing on the sidewalk with her basket of “FREE KITTENS” when another motorcade pulled up, this time followed by vans from ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.

Cameras and audio equipment were quickly set up and rolling, in time to watch Obama glide over to little Suzy.

“Hello, again,” he said, “I’d love it if you would tell all my friends out there what kind of kittens you’re giving away.”

“Yes sir,” Suzy said. “They’re Republicans.”

Taken by surprise, the president stammered, “But… but… yesterday, you told me they were DEMOCRATS.”

Little Suzy smiled and said, “I know. But today, they have their eyes open.”

A memorable half-hour of our history that you’re probably too young to know about

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

What is the difference between someone who is a leader, and someone who is simply in charge?

You may or may not have an opinion on Ronald Reagan; though it’s likely you have an opinion about those who claim allegiance to Reagan ideals. But this generation, and by that I mean most of us under the age of 50, has no solid recollection of what a Reagan speech was, back when we had real leadership in Washington D.C.

Before the government controlled nearly as much as it does now, there were actual leaders to be found, who met to discuss the heady and weighty matters that affected Americans everywhere. Leaders who understood that the hearts of Americans needed trust and guidance from their elected representatives — not whips, handcuffs and prosecution.

There was an expectation that the smartest found among us would be sent to Washington to belabor the concerns we had, and come back with solutions — not create problems that simply surpassed or replaced other problems.

Since most everyone I have recently spoken to has lost whatever memory they might have had of those who have gone before, I recommend that you take half an hour of your life, and watch (or read) a speech by Ronald Reagan, from back in 1964 (a few years before I was born).

It’s not just the calming cadence of his voice that matters — some say we’ve had plenty of that in later Presidents. It’s not the tireless intellect that provides an impression of trustworthy competance — most believe we have had that in every other President (though which is which is up for debate).

But there was always an understanding, a teachable moment, that came from his speeches — crafted such that even if you disagreed with him, you likely would still believe that the country is in good hands, with good men at the helm.

Allt-too-faint memories of speeches like this are why there are so many in this country moving from the Republican Party, and toward a possible, new, Conservative Party. It’s become obvious why the Democrats are losing the ears and eyes of those who can or will read a newspaper or any web page so long it requires scrolling — and the Republican Party is trying hard but quietly dying off in it’s own ignorance.

Here are the links to a transcript, and the YouTube of this memorable half hour of our history.

Ronald Reagan: “A Time For Choosing”

Rush Limbaugh is in trouble again. For stooping to the amorality of his own ‘admirers’ for just a moment — but only for a moment. Chris Matthews thinks this is some kind of proof that Rush is beneath him. Yeah… beneath Chris Matthews.

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

So I was completely unaware of this story until I saw a lead-in for our local evening news that flashed across the screen that Mr. Limbaugh had been ‘unprofessional’ and had ‘run with an unverified story’. These same ‘professional newscasters’ had previously run with the ‘story’ that the talk show host had made the fabricated racially-insensitive statements that had been attributed to him. They now apparently believe that Mr. Limbaugh, a professional talker with an informative and entertaining show format, should be held to the rules they no longer value for themselves — professional journalists.

From ‘Ignorant Media Misses Our Satiric Tweak on the Obama Thesis Hoax’ (RushLimbaugh.com)

Now, the setup for this, of course, is that I was libeled and slandered by countless members of the media, fabricated quotes, made-up quotes I never stated, never uttered, never wrote, nothing, were repeated all over this country by sportswriters, television cable hosts and so forth. After we proved to them that I didn’t do it they retracted it a week later, after the damage, and many of them said, “It still doesn’t matter, we know Limbaugh thinks it anyway.”

So last Friday, I get a note from a friend who says, “You ought to see what’s on this blog.” I looked at it, and it was Obama, his thesis from Columbia, “so-called Founders,” didn’t like what they did with the Constitution, there wasn’t enough talk about distribution of wealth and so forth. I said, “Well, this has a ring of truth to it,” because we’ve got Obama on radio from Chicago 2001 complaining about the Supreme Court not doing enough about redistribution. So we ran with it, made a big deal out of it in the first hour. In the second hour, I got a note saying, “Hey, Rush, we looked at this, we can’t back this up, we can’t find any actual sourcing for this.” So at that point I warned the audience that it may not be true, that we are still checking it.

Shortly thereafter I learned that the whole thing was made up, it was a satire piece on an obscure website. Then I said, “Okay, folks, I have to tell you, it’s satire, there’s no evidence that Obama ever wrote this, but, Media Tweak of the Day, I don’t care, I know he thinks it anyway because I’ve got audio of Obama saying it, talking about the Supreme Court.” And we all got a great laugh about it because I corrected it immediately, I explained that it was a hoax, or was satire and then to tweak the media I said, “But I don’t care, I’m sticking with it because I know he thinks it anyway.” So I dished out to Obama what the whole media did to me and I dished it back at the media as well.

Some of the ‘media professionals’ are having great fun running with this ‘news’:

ROSSINI: “When Rush Limbaugh discovers a hoax, he corrects it immediately. So what he spent a good part of his Friday broadcast gloating over an Internet story about how a TIME Magazine reporter got a hold of the president’s college thesis, and in it he disses the Constitution? So what the story was fake? When Limbaugh realized the report was fake he didn’t say sorry, not even oops.”

MATTHEWS: “Rush didn’t realize that it was a joke and broadcast the thesis story Friday as evidence that the president is, quote, anti-constitutionalist. Later in that same show Rushbo was told that the story was a hoax. Did he correct the record? Not exactly.”

Rush reiterates that he was mocking the treatment that ‘journalists’ had dished out to him over the fabricated statements he supposedly made that affected his ability to invest in an NFL property:

RUSH: These people! He has no clue that I’m parodying what happened to me, that he participated in. I don’t think I’ve gotten an apology from Matthews on this. So we stand by the fabricated quote? (laughing) I don’t know, folks. It’s fun. Did he correct the record? I shout from the mountaintops, element of truth, we know how he feels about distribution — We do know how he feels about it, so we stand by the fabricated quote. (laughing) Which is exactly what happened to me. I’m out of words to describe the insular world and the utter, utter lack of a sense of humor that these people have, particularly where Obama is concerned.

Just for a moment, let’s talk about the men who served, instead of about the war itself…

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Following are a few stats to debunk Vietnam mythology collected from FreeRepublic.com as written up in a post at Op-For.com:

“Vietnam veterans have a lower unemployment rate than the same non-vet age groups.

- Vietnam veterans’ personal income exceeds that of our non-veteran age group by more than 18 percent.

- Vietnam Veterans are less likely to be in prison – only one-half of one percent of Vietnam Veterans have been jailed for crimes.

- As of the current Census taken during August, 2000, the surviving U.S. Vietnam Veteran population estimate is: 1,002,511. During this Census count, the number of Americans falsely claiming to have served in-country is: 13,853,027. By this census, FOUR OUT OF FIVE WHO CLAIM TO BE Vietnam vets are not.

- Myth: Common Belief is that most Vietnam veterans were drafted.
Fact: 2/3 of the men who served in Vietnam were volunteers. 2/3 of the men who served in World War II were drafted. Approximately 70% of those killed in Vietnam were volunteers.”

The staying power of these myths says a lot more about the ignoramus American public than it does about the vets themselves.

For their part, the vets have been an honorable segment of the American population; conversely, the media, Hollywood, Berkeley whiz kids and John Kerry worshippers have never been able to consider that maybe those who were forced to grow up too fast actually did grow up.

But American pop culture is all too ready to pigeonhole any vet returning from wartime activities with an assumption that they some how cannot, and do not, belong among us after having ‘stood on the wall’.

Those who cling to, and promulgate, this myth, are bigger enemies of soldiers’ reintegration than any wartime experiences ducking flak and IEDs.

The funniest — and most honest — ad I’ve seen all month

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Wow, I have to say, this advertisement (found on a YouTube page) took me completely off-guard. And though I’m sure (knowing human nature) that it will get abused by people who are ‘playing the field’ when they aren’t even supposed to be ‘on the market’ (read: already married) — I have to say that if you’re single, this would have been the place that I would have liked to be listed, before settling down.

Because, despite the ‘modern’ expectations of floating on credit, leveraging against the generations both before and aft, and generally living on borrowed time — my hope as a young man was to be ‘Established’ (by my own definition) before allowing myself the luxury of settling down and becoming responsible for a wife and family.

What was my criteria? Well, when I was in high school and college, I wanted to pass these milestones before tying the knot:

  • Have a solid job.
  • Have a reliable car.
  • Have no outstanding debts.
  • Have a place to live (that wasn’t my mother’s house)
  • Have a career-plan.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Be, by my own measure, an ‘adult’.

Well, my own behavior never did match my ideals — and when I finally ‘grew up’ to the point where I was forcing myself to avoid dating at all until I’d notched some of the above off the list, God (and my eventual wife-to-be) stepped in and informed me that they weren’t going to wait on my priorities.

But, if I’d had my ‘druthers, this would have been exactly the vendor that I’d hoped to have a profile on as a young man:

In the end, I can thank both of them (God, and the woman who promised to love, honor, and balance our checkbook) for giving me more happiness, if not financial independence, than I could ever have dreamed of 20 years ago.
